Make sure you have downloaded the correct version of the ODBC-SQL Server driver. If you are unsure as to your current version, please take a look in the installation_dir/easysoft/sqlserver_install.info
file. This will tell you your platform and build information. If you do not know which version to download, please email , and make sure you attach your sqlserver_install.info
file.
Note The default installation_dir is /usr/local
.
Please be aware that upgrades are only available to supported customers. Please contact our sales team () if you are no longer supported and require a quotation for the new version. If you do not know whether your company is supported, you can check your last Easysoft invoice or email and ask the support team.
These instructions assume you have Easysoft installed in the default directory installation_dir/easysoft
. If you have Easysoft installed in any other directory, please substitute installation_dir/easysoft
with $EASYSOFT_ROOT
.
The new version should be installed straight over the top of your existing version.
The simple steps for upgrading:
./install
— this will start the installation process.If you are upgrading from a previous version (e.g. version 2.0 to 2.1), please run this program post-installation:
cd /usr/local/easysoft/license ./licshell
Select SQL Server from the list, and make a note of the retrieved site information number. Send this number, along with the licenses file from the same directory, to . The licensing team will then issue you a replacement license key.
This step is not required if you are installing a new build of an existing version (e.g. 2.1.1 to 2.1.2).
